Once the proud leader of Himiko’s clan, Lord Muira was killed by a small group of rebels that sought to overthrow the lord as protest to her rise in power. After the rebels were executed in a slow, gruesome manner in order that they might feel the cold sting of Himiko’s wrath, she summoned Lord Muira’s spirit from beyond the veil to inform him that revenge had been achieved, and to offer him a chance to return to the living world as a goryō to continue the honor that he once gave their clan. Muira accepted Himiko’s invitation, and now leads the goryō in the Han army as their field commander. Unconcerned by death, Lord Muira strives to redeem his honor and serve with distinction under Himiko, now the clan’s new regent.

Unlike other goryō, Lord Muira’s head remains firmly attached to its ghostly body. Clad in the finest armor, he carries a fearsome two-bladed sword wreathed in flames that shrieks in the voices of those killed through injustice. Charismatic and commanding in life, Lord Muira’s presence is truly epic in death, and he leads his spirit warriors with remarkable skill and brilliance. Most mortals quake in terror when facing this spirit of righteous vengeance, causing units to fall apart from confusion and fear when he and his goryō break their line.
