Zhongli Quan
« Go backOne of the eight immortals, Zhongli Quan is the leader of this legendary group. One of Emperor Wu's prominent generals before he became an immortal, Quan elected to once again don his armor and explore the Tao on the field of battle when the Emperor announced his campaign into the West. While loyal to the Han Dynasty, it is impossible to gauge the true motivations of an immortal. When asked why he fights on behalf of the Emperor and Himiko, he merely smiles his broad grin and replies "One who fights against the flood is a fool—only one who rides its crest can truly overcome it."
Quan appears as a portly, middle-aged Chinese male, dressed in ornate armor and helmet, beneath which lie aristocratic robes from a bygone era. Perhaps because of his status as leader of the immortals in the Han Dynasty or possibly from some more esoteric reason, Quan beams with satisfaction and self-realization. He exists only for battle and his knowledge of tactics and strategy is unmatched. The other immortals (and more than a few mortals) believe that Quan thinks that war is nothing more than a game, with the soldiers, horses and siege engines nothing more than toys to push around the table. Quan thinks the concept is highly amusing, but has never elaborated as to whether this statement holds any truth …
