Cursed Swordsman
« Go backThe undead legions are the staple of the Egyptian army. The animated remains of generations of Egyptian soldiers were awakened on the Night of Mists and assigned their allegiance to Cleopatra and her generals, including the risen mummy Amenhotep III. They are the ultimate soldiers: obedient and incorruptible, and impervious to the rigors of weather or march.
Under the influence of the necromantic magics of one of Cleopatra’s generals or the Hands of Osiris, the normally slumbering undead infantrymen erupt into psychotic terror. They move faster, wielding their khopeshes with deadly fury. Often the sight of a wave of undead infantrymen charging them has broken an enemy’s line. Only veteran Roman legionaries have the discipline to stand against an undead charge, but even then the weight of their charge has led the undead infantryman to victory over the legionary.
The real strength of the undead infantryman is his ability to regenerate. Although their bodies are already dead and partially decomposed, they are just as susceptible to amputations and crushed limbs as any living solder. But where a man will lose an arm, an undead infantryman can, with enough time, reattach the severed limb.
The undead of the Egyptian army are completely loyal to Cleopatra and her generals, and will follow any order at any cost. They are completely fearless in battle and will fight against any odds or any enemy. They are used as the main assault force of the Egyptian armies, and even Antony will allow the undead legions to take the heaviest casualties to preserve his dwindling legions.
