Arcane Legions

Cleopatra was well prepared when the Night of Mists swept the world. For many years prior, Cleopatra trained sorceresses in a secret desert fortress known as the Throne of Isis. After the transformation of the mists was complete, she ordered her minions out of their secrecy in order to join the ranks of Egypt’s rapidly expanding army. Trained in both the arts of magic and war, a Hand of Isis is capable of augmenting the powers of the undead, infusing them with necromantic vigor that makes them almost unstoppable.

Cleopatra ordered members of the Hand of Isis to serve alongside the various humans in the Imperium’s army. The Egyptian soldiers immediately complied, afraid of their magical might and afraid of angering Isis herself. The Greeks, however, almost came to full revolt at the thought of fighting alongside women in battle. Only the efforts of Masika, leader of the Hand of Isis and Cleopatra’s chosen lieutenant, kept things from getting violent. After several engagements, however, the sheer might and effectiveness of the Hand has almost convinced the male soldiers of their usefulness. A few even welcome the addition of these skilful sorceresses to the number, although they would never admit this in front of their comrades.
