Beautiful, highly intelligent and mysterious, Masika serves her queen as the leader of the order known as the Hand of Isis. Entrusted with the training of these powerful sorceresses, Masika herself possesses remarkable magical talent along with a keen mind well-suited to intrigue and politics. Cleopatra entrusts Masika with many unusual tasks. After helping pacify Egypt, Masika and half of the Hand of Isis were sent to serve alongside and support the Legio XIII—formerly Roman soldiers who pledged their fealty to Marc Anthony. When the unit received orders for the women’s inclusion into the fighting force, the men nearly rioted. Masika met with the unit’s commander, Decidius Saxa, to smooth things over. The two were immediately taken with each other and eventually became lovers, further complicating the already complex relationships between the many groups that made up the Imperium’s fighting force.

When she takes to battle, Masika goes in alongside members of her own order. Though relatively unprotected, they form a potent magical force that easily overcomes almost any foe. Masika and her sorceresses shadow undead units, using their magic to strengthen their arms and restore them back to “life” with powerful necromantic magic.
