Amenhotep III
« Go backSummoned from the Underworld by Cleopatra to command her undead armies, Amenhotep was a pharaoh who ruled nearly 1,300 years before the current age. Though known by scholars as a patient and just regent, most Egyptians prior to the Night of Mists knew of him only as a powerful necromancer and sorcerer, and spoke his name in hushed tones. When Amenhotep returned to the world of the living, those rumors and legends proved true. Released from the Underworld by Anubis to serve as one of Cleopatra’s generals, Amenhotep is bound by powerful forces to obey her commands, though nothing in the agreement stated that he had to enjoy the arrangement. Amenhotep considers himself far superior to his queen, whom he views as a foreign upstart with delusions of grandeur, but he has so far kept this opinion to himself. Amenhotep knows that there is little that he can say or do about his circumstances, but his already patient personality combined with the timelessness of undeath means that he can bide his time to renegotiate his deal with Anubis and return Egypt to its rightful people—under his rule.
In battle, Amenhotep is most effective using the powers of necromancy to bring back his undead soldiers from destruction. Amenhotep and his retinue of undead take to the battlefield very aggressively, throwing themselves into situations that would give pause to living warriors.
