Description
Iron discipline and well-honed skills give the Roman legionary an edge over the conscript soldiers of other armies. It seems particularly ironic that Antony chose to create a combined unit of 13th Legion auxiliaries and the most deteriorated of the Returned. In fact, this experiment may prove far more successful than expected: once the soldiers overcame their disgust at this development, it became clear that the combination of their skills and the unflinching defense of the spearmen could make this unit a potent force.
